Roadmap 2025 - Revision 5

Since I have a little bit of time away from my computer. Doing some planning for whats might come in the next couple of changes coming up at 2025.

Update 12 - Combat Update (Completed on 15/04/2025)

  • Player combat update (adding first iteration of skills system. Allow use of special skill attacks such as shield bash, shield rush, taunts etc. More about this in a seperate post.)

  • New Skill combo chain system.

  • Execution kill move with Kill Cam.

  • Shield block (Had been neglecting this)

  • Npc combat update (added the above skill system to NPCs so that depending on their stats, they can also uses skills. )


Update 13 - Hunter's guild (First draft Completed on 16/04/2025)

  • Previous design as the The Hunter and the hunted - Part 2 update

  • Guilds is a special organisation support by the village chief/government to provide amd deal with request for the benefit of the villages.

  • Contain and store hunter guild stocks and resource (meats and hunted item) this might be purchased by other shops around the village. (To be Implement in future date.)

  • Depending on stocks, will give out job quest in job board. (such as to hunt for deer to resupply meats) - To Be Implement in the future on Job/Quest update.

  • Both Player and NPCs can become a hunter by register with the guild -  To Be Implement in the future on Faction Update.

  • Non-member can sell or buy item from hunter guild.

  • Occasionally if low stock, hunter guild will post public job that non-hunter can also pickup. - To Be Implement in the future on Job/Quest update.

  • Member receive standard issue weapon/equipment for hunting. Depending on rank and stock, will also received specialised weapon/equipments.

  • Higher level guild/resource provide its member with better equipments.

  • Guild Equipments are non sellable except on the black market - To be fuse with crime and punishment update.

  • Hunter guild member have different rank and benefits (- To Be Implement in the future on Faction Update. ):


1. Rank 1 novice - access to rank 1 hunting task (retrive free weapon equipment)


 2. Rank 2 apprentice - access to rank 2 hunting task (receive basic hunting zone map)


 3. Rank 3 journeyman - access to rank 3 hunting task  (tracking ability)


 4. Rank 4 expert - access to expert hunting task


 5. Rank 5 master (only a few like 5)- access to special master hunting task


 6. Rank 6 grand master (only 1) - access to legendary hunting task. Eg vampire slayer


 7. Rank 7 Legendary (reown for something special achievement)- access to legendary hunting task. Eg. Dragon slayer


Update 14 - Relationship System - Meet and Greet (Completed on 12/09/2025)

  • Implemention Relationship between NPC (To be experiment with Love & Hate plugin)

  • Previous have a massive plan to create this system but looks like this plugin deal with almost all the ground works so will see if can ultilise it. Feel like this plugin can reduce the development time significantly.

  • Features includes: Relation system, Traits, Emotional State, Deeds/Memory.

  • Along with this update plan to include player to npc interactions including purchasing items. As well as NPC to NPC interactions. (Player to Npc interaction is decided to be add in the future)

  • Added along with this update included: Raytraced sight and sound detection. Emotion system, and Memory system.


Update 16 - World Building updated - Tavern, Blacksmith and more

  • Npcs will go to Tavern to buy food and drinks (include ale!)

  • Tavern have rooms for hire for NPCs or player that does not own a house.

  • Gossip system. (NPCs in the Tavern will talk to wach other and sometime start a gossip on events happened around the world.) - This actually half done already. Rumor system is completed but still to implement gossips.

  • Also want to add blacksmiths and other areas to improve the world design.


Update 16 - Wildlife Update

  • Deer combat update (better dash attack, collision, heavy attack)

  • Deer behaviour update (Deer will use energy as they move around so they will also rest and sleep. Also add couple of different behaviours for deers, some will be more afraid of player and will runaway once sight, other might simple ignore. Some will even aggressive on NPCs)

  • Add more wildlifes (Fox, Bear, Wolf, Tiger)


Update 17 - Guards and patrols

  • Adding guards around the village that will patrol around the village and possibly outside village as well.

  • Barrack, Guard house and watch towers!


Update 18 - Death system

  • Death system (I think will be a very unique system that i am experimenting, more about this in a seperate/future post)

  • See thinking when this should be done. Either before or after the Tavern and Guard Updates.


Other possible updates:

  • (Event) Skeleton invasion!

  • Dragon and baby dragon!

  • More animals, wolf and bear
