Update 7 - Target Lock Switch and NPC name generation




This is a short one, actually took less time for this than I expected. Progressive relatively smooth with not too much hiccups.


Added ability to switch different target by button toggle. I did experiment with left right arrow button to switch to left or right position targets but find it a bit weird and harder to implement properly.


End up doing a toggle instead, so clicking on this button will toggle between selectable NPCs from within player's sight of range.


At the moment, this will snap straight to the next target NPC. I was thinking whether to add some transition animations, but realise that depending on the combat pacing sometime we don't want the slowl transition. This will likely be improve upon in the future when actual play test occurs. Need to actually play the game to get a feel how bad is it.

Another thing added is that NPC spawn will now randomly generate different NPC names base on a list I inputed. Will slowly grow this list by adding and filtering our the ones that are good or bad.


Also NPCs have surname for future family/clan mechanic.


Now that the basic setup is ready, next up will probably start doing the first iteration of world building. I would expect this will take abit longer as I slowly doing the world design. But the next update I would expect much more exciting.
